Because it is non-contact, the heat from the spindle motor is less likely to transfer. This non-contact gear technology enables tool changes with a turret system for high-speed spindles, making the machine itself very compact. The tool change indexing speed is fast, allowing for tool changes in about 3 seconds on this NC high-speed router machining machine.
